Gold, silver, other colors and sparkles are not permitted. The sides may have a pattern. Note: Gym uniforms may not be worn to school. Students will change before and after gym class


Lower School

Kindergarten Through Grade Four:

Tunic: Plaid

Shirt: White polo shirt or white turtleneck (purchased from store of your choice) Sweater: Hunter green cardigan (purchased from Flynn & O'Hara.)
Socks: Black, hunter green, or white anklets, quarter socks, knee socks, or tights Shoes: Black or brown low heeled loafers, oxfords, or Sperry type shoes. Boots, slides, or sling backs are not permitted.
If you purchase Sperry shoes they must be black, brown, or tan - no silver, gold, or sparkle. The sides of the shoes may be patterned.

Physical Education Uniform:

Red Team:

Black, gray, or red gym shorts (solid mesh, biker/spandex, or Sacred Heart)
A solid red T-shirt or a Sacred Heart team t-shirt.
White gym socks and sneakers
Black, gray, or red sweatshirt and sweatpants (Sacred Heart or plain colored without logo) or black yoga pants. Leggings and capri pants are not permitted.

White Team:

Black, gray, or red gym shorts (solid mesh, biker/spandex, or Sacred Heart)
A solid white t-shirt or a Sacred Heart team t-shirt.
White gym socks and sneakers
Black, gray, or red sweatshirt and sweatpants (Sacred Heart or plain colored without logo) or black yoga pants. Leggings and capri pants are not permitted.

Please Note:
If you are new to Sacred Heart, you will pick your team (“Red or White”) during the first week of school.

White Dress Uniform:

For two special occasions during the year, Lower school students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 4 are required to wear a white dress.
The style of the dress is your choice.
Early December is the first time the white dress needs to be worn.

Uniform Notes:

  • Dress blouses, decorated polo shirts, or T-shirts may not be worn with the uniform jumper.
  • Socks may be worn over tights if they are the same color as the tights.
  • No sheer or designed tights may be worn.
  • No black or brown sneakers or boots permitted as the uniform shoe.
  • Shoes must have a closed toe and heel and should have a low heel.
  • Sacred Heart sweatshirts may not be worn with the uniform. They may be worn on gym days.
  • During colder weather students may wear sweatshirts/sweatpants/leggings to school, during outdoor recess, and when leaving school. When students arrive in the morning, sweatshirts/sweatpants/leggings must be removed and put away in a schoolbag, locker, or cubby.
  • On Field Day (a date in May) Red Team members are required to wear red shirts and red shorts and White Team members are required to wear white shirts and red shorts.
  • The Heart Mart, the school store, sells Sacred Heart gym uniforms, sweatshirts, and sweatpants throughout the year. Please check the store hours.
  • Students are to wear their gym uniform to school on their scheduled gym days.
  • During the colder weather students are permitted to wear sweatshirts and sweatpants to gym classes.

Perfect Uniform

Lower School
Perfect Uniform is to be worn for First Friday Mass and special days as announced.
If First Friday is a scheduled gym class, students may wear the gym uniform to school.
Solid or Sacred Heart sweats should be worn over the gym uniform during the colder weather on First Friday gym days.
Tunic: Plaid
Shirt: White polo (Fall and Spring)
White polo or white turtleneck (Winter) Sweater: Hunter green cardigan
Socks Fall and Spring: White anklets, quarter socks, knee socks, or tights
Socks Winter: Black (preferred), hunter green socks or tights
Shoes: Same as previously listed
Please Note: On special outings black tights or socks may be required during the winter months.
