Kara Rufo '05, Upper School English teacher and SHA alumna spoke to the Class of 2020 at their ring ceremony on November 30. In preparation for her speech, Kara searched for the answer to why the ring's stone is the color green? While Kara never discovered the true reason why the stone is green, in talking to a lot of people, many wonderful Sacred Heart stories were shared and enjoyed. Kara summarized by saying, "for green is a color that symbolizes balance, life, and growth. All of which I hope to represent your time at Sacred Heart." Kara also spoke to the class about how their ring will represent their own SHA story even when it loses its sparkle because that is what gives it "life".
