Six SHA Athletes Named to All-Main Line Volleyball Team

No doubt, 2020 was a banner year for Sacred Heart volleyball as they captured their fourth straight District 1 Championship and went all they way to the Pennsylvania State Semifinals. And for a number of players, the post-season accolades have been numerous. Most recently, six players were named to the All-Main Line Team.

Senior outside hitter and co-captain Erin Corcoran '21 led the way with first-team selection. Erin smashed at team-high 190 kills in 2020, while chipping in 188 digs. She wrapped up her four-year Varsity career with 704 kills, 691 digs, and 195 aces. She holds the single season record for aces (86) and is third in the SHA record book for kills.

Junior co-captain Bella O’Toole '22 (libero/outside hitter), Liz Cuskey '23 (middle hitter) and Emily McKenna '23 (outside hitter/right-side hitter) were all named to the Second Team. Bella anchored the defense, with 190 digs on the year. Emily finished her sophomore season with 122 kills and 47 aces, while Liz topped the team with 54 aces and 33 blocks.

Sophomore libero Aly Albanese '23 and freshman setter Annie Corcoran '24 landed spots on the Honorable Mention list. Before being sidelined with a broken hand, Aly was a defensive spark and finished the season with 89 digs. Annie, the only freshman to appear on the All-Main Line list, racked up 425 assists on the year.

Congratulations to our SHVB All-Main Line selections!
