More than 20 students, mothers and fathers rolled up their sleeves and got to work on campus on Sunday, October 18, enjoying a gorgeous day while sprucing up campus for the fall.
Mothers' and Fathers' Association Presidents Nicole Dawson P’31 and Chris Corcoran P'16 '21 '24 organized parent volunteers to work on two outdoor campus projects -- painting the cement parking bumpers in the lower lot and decorating various campus areas with fall decorations.
"SHA's grounds are really beautiful and with students and faculty spending much more time outside this year, we thought it was a great time to initiate this project," says Chris. "And what better way to do service work than together with our daughters. The Mothers' and Fathers Associations plan to continue to offer opportunities for families to volunteer together to beautify our campus."
Both Nicole and Chris encourage parents to get involved with the Mothers' and Fathers' Association. Chris points out that "it's a great way to meet other Sacred Heart families while helping the school look and feel its best."
Watch the weekly Red and White Bulletin for more information about upcoming planned Mothers' and Fathers' Association events. If you have any questions, suggestions or would like to get involved this year, please reach out to Nicole at email@example.com or Chris at firstname.lastname@example.org.
