Upper School teacher Kelly Weber has long been a leader at SHA when it comes to activities relative to the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria. But recently she has taken her expertise to the Network level as she has been appointed to the Sacred Heart Commission on Goals (SHCOG).
The Commission -- led by Nat Wilburn, Head of the Conference of Sacred Heart Education -- is the overarching team that assures the oversight of the SHCOG process for the entire Network. In her new role, Ms. Weber will work with eight to ten other faculty members, heads of school and trustees from Sacred Heart schools across the country.
Ms. Weber was nominated for the Commission earlier this year and was confirmed by the Provincial Team of the Society of the Sacred Heart recently. An Upper School History and Theology teacher, Ms. Weber attended her first SHCOG meeting in early November. In her responsibilities, she will review Sacred Heart schools' SHCOG reports, visit schools, and engage in work assuring the overall strength of the Goals and Criteria.
"We always knew we were lucky to have Ms. Weber at Bryn Mawr," says Deirdre Cryor, Head of School. "Now the Network knows that Sacred Heart is lucky to have Ms. Weber. It is a wonderful moment for Ms. Weber and for Bryn Mawr."
