Lucy Bustamante, an anchor/reporter for NBC10 and Telemundo62, will be the guest speaker at this year's SHA Mother-Daughter Mass and Brunch on Sunday, February 6. Ms. Bustamante grew up in New Orleans and attended Cabrini High School, an all-girls school founded and sponsored by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
While in high school, Ms. Bustamante volunteered at the now-closed Cabrini Convent in Radnor, a nursing home for retired religious of the Sacred Heart. “I fell in love with Philly back then and always wanted to return," she says. "Little did I know then God would put this incredible city back in our path where I get to raise my family.”
A two-time Emmy award winner, Ms. Bustamante has also been honored with several Associated Press awards for best anchor and three regional Edward R. Murrow awards. She also has co-hosted LIVE with Regis and Kelly with the late Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa.
The Annual Mother-Daughter Mass and Brunch will be held Overbrook Golf Club. Mass begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by brunch and Ms. Bustamante's remarks. Always a favorite SHA tradition, the Mother/Daughter event will also feature, door prizes, a DJ and dancing.
