Sacred Heart Academy is proud to announce two new additions to the Board of Trustees, effective immediately.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I’m so pleased to welcome Christie Snyder ’05 and Wayne Taitt P’24 to the SHA Board. Throughout our nomination process, Christie and Wayne conveyed deep appreciation for the gifts of a Sacred Heart education, passion for mission and an earnest commitment to lend their personal and professional resources to champion and advance our school. Christie Snyder, Sacred Heart Academy Alumna ’05 brings both her strong professional and volunteer experience to the Board of Trustees. Christie is a Senior Relationship Associate at Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) in Philadelphia, PA serving as the primary point of contact for many of the firm’s individual and institutional clients. Prior to this role, she worked at Christie’s as an Account Manager in their Mid-Atlantic Region. Having served on the Sacred Heart Academy’s Alumnae Board of Directors in 2012-17, Christie is also currently on the school’s DE&I Committee. Additional volunteer experience includes the Library Company of Philadelphia as well as the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. As an alumna, Christie is looking forward to giving back to the school that helped shape her as a person and a professional, as well as, reconnecting with SHA alumnae to increase the strength of the Alumnae Network–both locally as well as nationally.

Wayne Taitt, Parent of a student in the Class of 2024, is a successful entrepreneur bringing both business acumen and leadership experience to the Board of Trustees. Wayne is the co-founder/CEO of GLOMADO, an online learning platform providing cultural and art workshops led by global artisans and educators. Prior to launching GLOMADO, Wayne was a Principal for an e-commerce company and an e-retailer. His volunteer experience spans from Duke University Alumni Association and Harvard Business School African American Association helping to launch the international arm of SEO, an organization that helps students of color build a career on Wall Street. Seeing his daughter grow and thrive at Sacred Heart Academy has motivated him to want to further contribute to the school and help advance the school’s mission to educate young women who will make a difference in the world.
I am thrilled to be joining SHA’s Board and building upon the school’s rich legacy of educating courageous and confident young women. It’s an exciting time to be a part of this growing community and I look forward to getting to work in shaping the next generation of young leaders. – W.T.
