While students in grades 9-11 were taking the PSATs, seniors gathered as a community for some well-deserved self-care and service time.
This special senior time was set up into three one-hour-long sessions:
- Peanut butter and jelly sandwich-making for the homeless in Kensington
- Valentine card creations for residents at Dunwoody Village and Fair Acres
- T-shirt bag designs for Sankofa farms
- Yoga with Mrs. Schuster
- Poem by Amanda Gorman "The Hill We Climb"
Following listening to the poem, students expressed their favorite line in a design that is displayed on a Dooley bulletin board honoring Black History Month.
Sounds like a nice morning for the seniors and their efforts will benefit several organizations in need.
