SHA March Madness Includes Rollout of New College Planning Events

It's getting close to March Madness time! And for SHA's College Counseling Department this year, that means a new virtual program for Sacred Heart Upper School families to learn more about planning for college.

The new program, called March SHA-Madness: The College Process, is geared toward all students in ninth, tenth and eleventh grade and their families.

"Throughout the month of March, we will host various college-related programming, virtually, each Wednesday night for an hour staring at 6:30 p.m.," explains Ashley Fullen, Director of College Counseling. "It's a good chance for parents and students to hear from other students and parents about the college process as well as from Admissions professionals from various universities and SHA's college counselors."

The March SHA-Madness schedule of sessions includes:

  • March 3: College Admissions Panel (6:30-7:30 p.m.)

  • March 10: Senior Student Panel (6:30-7:00 p.m.) and Senior Parent Panel (7:00-7:30 p.m.)

  • March 17: College Counseling Overview (6:30-7:00 p.m.) and NCAA Recruiting (7:00-7:30 p.m.)

  • March 20: Financial Aid (6:30-7:30 p.m.)

Families are asked to register through the SHA portal for these events. The registration form is live now. Registrants will need to indicate which sessions they plan to attend and can also submit questions for the various presenters.
