A Special Visit from Mother Clare Pratt, RSCJ

A Special Visit from Mother Clare Pratt, RSCJ

We were honored to welcome Mother Clare Pratt, RSCJ, to SHA Bryn Mawr for a truly special visit with our community. During her time on campus, Mother Pratt met with students, faculty, and staff, and even spent time speaking with our graduating seniors, sharing stories from her incredible journey within the Religious of the Sacred Heart and the wisdom she has gained through decades of leadership, service, and education and through her time teaching at our Sacred Heart campus in Overbrook.

A lifelong member of the Sacred Heart community, Mother Pratt spoke about the mission of Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat and the importance of educating the whole child — a mission that continues to guide SHA each day. Her reflections on faith, community, and the relationships that define Sacred Heart schools deeply resonated with our students, especially the Class of 2026 as they prepare for their next chapter.

From her early days as a Sacred Heart student to her work as an educator, provincial leader, and international servant to the Society, Mother Pratt’s life is a powerful example of faith in action. Her visit was both inspiring and meaningful, and we are so grateful she shared her time, experiences, and heart with the SHA community.
