College Counseling Updates


It is an exciting time for the senior class! So far, every senior student has applied to at least one college or university. Of students who have received admissions decisions, the class as a 100% acceptance rate! The class has already received over 30 acceptances and earned over $881,000 in scholarship awards. Three students have deposited at their first choice school in addition to four student-athletes who have committed to their first choice school. Members of the senior class will matriculate to Clark University, Hofstra University, Ithaca College, Pennsylvania State University - Brandywine, Sacred Heart University, and the University of Pennsylvania!

Looking ahead…

Attention Junior Families: The college counseling department is working to reschedule the Junior College Visit Day, likely in January or February. We will have information to you before we depart for Christmas break.

Attention Sophomore and Junior Families: Please mark the following dates on your calendar.

Friday January 18, 2019 at 8:30am -1:00pm: Please note that there are no classes for Upper School students on this day. Sacred Heart will host a FREE full-length practice ACT test, run by a 3rd party testing company. It is highly encouraged for all sophomore students to participate and use the results as a diagnostic tool to decipher whether to move forward with the ACT or the SAT in the college process. Juniors are encouraged to participate as practice. Registration information to come at a later date.

Wednesday February 20, 2019 @ 6:30pmCollege Information Night. The night will consist of various presentations on topics related to the college process including admissions representatives panel, standardized testing, financial aid, NCAA recruitment, and Naviance.
