St. Madeleine Sophie Academic Scholarship
Born in Joigny, France, Madeleine Sophie Barat was educated beyond the norms of her contemporaries. In Paris in 1800, at the age of twenty, she consecrated herself to “make known the revelation of God’s love," founded the Society of the Sacred Heart, and set out to give young women a classical education — not common in their day. Today, the Society has over 150 schools worldwide, including Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr. Learn more about this scholarship made available to middle and high school students.
Spirit of Service Scholarship
Sacred Heart Goal III: A Social Awareness with Impels to Action, is one of the five Sacred Heart Goals, shared by 25 Sacred Heart Schools throughout the United States and Canada, and many of the 150 Sacred Heart schools worldwide. SHA students embody Goal III by participating in ongoing service initiatives at school, two full Days of Service, and optional service programs through the Sacred Heart Network.
