Three Volleyballers Land Spots on All-State List

For the first time in the history of SHA's volleyball program, three players have been named to the Pennsylvania All-State Team. Erin Corcoran '21, Bella O’Toole '22 and Liz Cuskey '23 all earned spots on the list, which was announced by the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association.

Erin, a senior co-captain, was All-State selection in 2019 as well. A dominant outside hitter, Erin led the team with 190 kills this season, while chipping in 188 digs. She wrapped up her four-year Varsity career with 704 kills, 691 digs, and 195 aces. She holds the single-season record for aces (86) and is third in kills in the SHA record books.

Bella, a junior co-captain, saw playing time at both libero and outside hitter this season. A three-year Varsity starter, she had an outstanding year, leading SHA's defense efforts with incredible digs and consistent passing. She had a team-high 190 digs on the year.

Liz dominated at both the net and at the service line in 2020. A middle hitter, she topped the team with 33 blocks along with 54 aces in her sophomore season for the Lady Lions.

All three players were instrumental in the team's success this year as SHA captured its fourth straight District 1 Championship. The team had an impressive state tournament run, advancing all the way to the Pennsylvania State Single A Semifinals, something no other Sacred Heart volleyball team has done.
