It is with great pride and enthusiasm that Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr recognizes and celebrates the extraordinary accomplishments and contributions of seven extraordinary Sacred Heart alumnae and former Head of School as the first recipients of the SHA Hall of Honor Award.
The inductees, who embody the Sacred Heart Mission, were honored at a well-attended and joyful Hall of Honor Ceremony and Dinner in September 26, 2024.
"The seven inimitable women we honor inspire me as I lead the work, as Head of School, to make sure that the girls and young women at SHA today know and feel that they will change the world and that they are changing the world within our community on the Hill every day. Their work — in different areas of professional and personal practice — inspires and deserves celebration," said Head of School Carla Jantos MacMullen.
"To the honored alumnae, Sacred Heart education played a role in who you are and the direction you took on your path, illuminated by the charism of the Sacred Heart and the Goals & Criteria. For Sister Matthew Anita, who led the Country Day School of the Sacred Heart as Head of School, you shaped the experience of girls and young women for more than two decades, and continue to contribute to the Sacred Heart Network in the United States and Canada. It is no coincidence that you are each here today in no small part due to your Sacred Heart experience."
