Students have the opportunity to join with their peers in several clubs and produce an end product they can be proud of. Creativity is the common denominator in Upper School student publications, Chez Nous, the literary magazine and The Beat, the student newspaper. Students publish original student work such as poems, stories, photography, artwork and more. Students develop their writing skills by engaging articles exploring school culture and issues of student concern. There are opportunities to showcase these printed works in settings such as cafe’ readings and the printed publications are shared with the school community.
Chez Nous is the Upper School's literary magazine. It features art and writing exclusively by students. The magazine is published each spring. Members of the Chez Nous club choose a theme and select the works to include. Students are responsible for the formatting and editing of Chez Nous.
The Beat is the Upper School's monthly newspaper. It allows students to showcase there writing, bring a story to life and uniquely (sometimes humorously) showcase their thoughts. The newspaper is lead by student editors and explores the school clulture and keeps students informed.
The Yearbook team works to capture the events and activities of student life. The photography club contributes photos for the yearbook. Students spend many hours after school cropping photos and writing copy to produce a yearbook that everyone will enjoy.
